The company started in 1988 as the machine shop department of the RAMCAR Inc. battery plant in Meycauayan, Bulacan. It was originally set up to do the repair and maintenance work for the equipment of the production departments. The group was later spun off into a separate company, Ramcar Technology, Inc.
1988Ramcar Technology invests in a NC milling and EDM machines and installs its first computers to mechanize its drawing activities.
1989The company moves to a 1,300 sqm facility in Quezon City and undergoes a major expansion and leap in technology.
1993Ramcar Technology achieves ISO 9001 certification by TUV-Rheinland, a local industry first.
1997Ramcar technology moves to its present site in Sta. Maria Bulacan, a 4,000 sqm facility on a 10,000 sqm property.
2005MSFI, considered a separate company, was restructured and became Stainless Steel Department under Ramtech’s management and is now known to be the supplier of kitchen equipment and furniture of Ramcar’s Food Group.
2006Ramcar Group's Technical Training School was established and known as Ramcar Motolite Center for Excellence (RMCE) in partnership with the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP).
2007Acquired a test instrument that immediately identifies the problems on PCB.
2010Acquired CNC Waterjet Cutting Machine with 6,000 psi.
2011Acquired XRF Analyzer, a non-destructive scanner device used to determine the elemental composition of metals to ensure the compliance of raw materials received.
2012Acquired 5-axis CNC Milling Machine for the fabrication of complex profiles.
2013Acquired 2 sophisticated and high-end equipment, Salvagini Laser Machine and Panel Bender.
2014Acquired Global Shop Solution (GSS) planning software.
2015Started utilizing robot arms for machines such as IC Welder and COS Machines.
2016SSD has acquired the consultancy services of Taiwanese experts in refrigeration equipment to facilitate the transfer of technology and technical knowledge aimed at enhancing the performance and quality of its equipment.
2018Started to fabricate Automation Assembly Lines.
2019Acquired PVD Coating Technology to improve tool durability and performance.
